aka "Dementia".

Could have been called "Alice in Film-noirland"

A very dreamlike story indeed. Not so far from "Carnival of Souls" or Orson Welles' "Trial".

John Parker was only the producer. Co-star Bruno VeSota is suspected to have been the real author of this treat.

This is a superb visual film that was totally ruined by the voiceover narration. In order to get it back to a visual/music only piece, I stripped the narration and added a soundtrack of my own making. If interested, you can see (and hear)the result here:

Subject: FIVE STARS FOR SILENT TERROR
Thanks for posting. I wouldn't have thought anyone could pull off a successful silent film in the mid 1950's but this film is well worth the watch. we are show casing it in our July 2011 super mega newsletter at http://act1nowplaying.com/ACT1ENEWSLETTERPAGE201107012011typsfw.aspx shown in a very special way with classic commercials and trailers also from the archive..

I know for a fact that this film was condemed by the Catholic Leigon of Decency when it came out.
This was also the movie that was playing in the theater in the movie THE BLOB before it attacked.
